OWL is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of raptors (eagles, falcons, hawks, osprey, owls, and vultures). Our facility and staff are equipped for the unique needs of these beautiful birds, offering them the best chance of recovery.
The facility specializes in birds of prey only (eagles, falcons, hawks, ospreys, owls, & vultures) and has rescued thousands of patients since the beginning of OWL. They are sent to OWL from all over British Columbia, other provinces, and sometimes the USA, with the help of a network of dedicated volunteers.

safe and healthy environment.
Elizabeth's Wildlife Center was established in 1986, and became a non-profit organization in 1999. Elizabeth Melnick, founder and primary caregiver of the Center, is a qualified registered nurse and wildlife rehabilitator. What first began as a rescue center from her home, expanded into Elizabeth’s backyard with construction of aviaries and small housing facilities.
